Will the Bhojpuri movie industry be moving out of Mumbai? These days a lot of Bhojpuri movies are being produced and increasing number of Bollywood starts including major ones are now eyeing to star in Bhojpuri cinema. Now that the Raj Thackeray’s and his MNS’s activists are trying to take a dig at North Indian specially Biharis; will the people who make Bhojpuri cinema be moving back to Bihar and UP or even Jharkhand.
Bihar these days seems to be a good choice given that law and order has drastically improved. Not to mention that Bihar is the homeland of the Bhojpuri language. Manoj Tiwari, a famous Bhojpuri singer even wrote to the chief minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar asking him to assist in setting up a film set in Bihar. Bihari actor, Shatrughan Sinha has also proposed such a move. According to him, Bihar is the ideal place for the production of Bhojpuri cinemas.
The chief minister of Bihar has known to have supported the move by promising a large budge of Rs 200 core and land on Patna-Rajgir Road. Even the government of Uttar Pradesh is considering the move of offering perks to set up a Bhojpuri film city in the state.
This Bhojpuri film “Bhole Shankar” is the first movie to include Mithun Chakraborty in a leading role alongside Manoj Tiwari. Monalisa is heroine of this movie. The movie has been produced by Gulshan Bhatia. The playback artists for the Bhojpuri movie are Raja Hasan, Mauli Dave and Poonam Yadav. Famous Shailendra Singh has also sung a song.
